Cost Day

About

CostDay follows a construction bid total back to the sums that made it.

  1. Who reads it

Posts here start from a takeoff, a unit cost or a markup and end at a total you can check by hand. The readers are estimators who build a price, and owners who have to judge one.

  2. Where it stops

Running a site once work has begun, sending trucks or crews, and setting the fee for an accounting job are not covered here.

  3. Who signs the posts

Every post is signed CostDay Editorial Team. That is a group label. It is not the signature of an estimator, an engineer or a licensed contractor.

  4. Making a post

AI tools write every post. Code then traces each figure to a page named at the foot of the post, and a checker model from another AI maker reads the figures once. The text is not rewritten by hand. Sample numbers are always marked as examples.

  5. A clean start

CostDay has no link to whoever used this web address before, and it does not speak for them.
